Before joining Borromin, Maria Rostock worked for a single family office in Frankfurt for more than four years. During this time, she was initially responsible for the tax and legal structuring of M&A transactions on the direct investment side. Later, as Head of Legal & Private Equity Structuring, her responsibilities included fund structuring and regulatory affairs. Maria started her professional career in 2007, after working for KPMG for six years, she later joined a German private equity firm. There, as Tax & Legal Counsel, she was responsible for the tax department. Together with the investment team, she advised on numerous M&A transactions as well as acquisition and fund structuring.
Maria studied law at the University of Bayreuth and at the Goethe University Frankfurt. Maria completed her legal clerkship at the Wiesbaden District Court and in San Francisco. In addition, Maria successfully completed the tax advisor exam. She has held the title of SRI Advisor (EBS) since 2022.
Maria Rostock joined Borromin in January 2022 as General Counsel. In this role, she supports the group in all legal and tax matters. In addition she is part of the firm's compliance team.
